The machine is ready to measure: READY Measurement Colour and Fluorescence: Open lid – Put the stone in the centre on the most flattest side of the stone – Close lid: MEASURE After a few seconds you can see on the screen the colour and fluorescence. Visual Inspection of Fluorescence: stone in the machine – open lid – press briefly on FLUOR – to see the fluorescence more clear, cover with the hands the measure cell To switch off the UV light: wait for 20 seconds or press again on FLUOR switch Not using the machine for 2 minutes: screen falls out (idem screen save computer) – to continue with measuring, press MEASURE switch – it is not necessary to press ON/OFF Not using the machine for 10 minutes: machine itself falls out – to continue with measuring, the machine needs to be switched on – press ON/OFF switch CLOSE LID: lid needs to be closed when measuring BATTERY LOW: Machine needs to be charged – you can continue to measure when charging the machine GAIN ERROR: the machine doesn't have enough light to make a correct/valid measurement (stone is too dark) Switch off the machine: ON/OFF IMPORTANT!!! Detector in the centre of the measure cell needs to be fully covered by diamond. If not, a higher measurement – higher colour will be indicated, which is NOT CORRECT! Check on a regular base the calibration: press MEASURE without stone in the machine – the number in the middle has to be around 100,0 - calibration is necessary when this number is below 99,0 When determine the colour, take into account the limit values of each colour (H- versus I+) You can also download the complete manual (detailed explanation and pictures) by clicking the link below.
